Using Wix and Email Marketing to Maintain a 65% Open Rate

Reggie Disante of George's Lowcountry Table in Athen's Georgia has been a client since 2013 when I built the first version of his website. This was one of the first Wix websites I built and I continue to update the site each year in order to keep the brand fresh and add in new features.


In addition to web management, I also handle monthly email marketing campaigns to George's ever-growing audience. We migrated from Constant Contact to Wix a few years ago and since then we have double our list size. Our delivery rate stays above 99%. We maintain an open rate between 40 and 65% depending on the time of year. Our click rate never falls below 10%. An example of stats from a recent campaign can be found below:



How do we get such great results?

  • All of our contacts willingly opt into our emails through strategically placed subscriber forms on the site.

  • Our emails are short, sweet, easy to read, and relevant!

  • We only send one email a month and if I'm being totally honest sometimes we will skip a month or two if not much is going on.

  • We give contacts a direct call to action for each piece of information.

  • Reggie has a great group of regulars and a fabulous bar so people want to know what he has to share!

During the covid-19 crisis I worked with Reggie to keep his customer base up to date with online ordering options, their latest safety protocols, and construction updates at the restaurants new location. I consider Reggie a good friend and it has been exciting to work with him and watch him build his business.
